This past Monday we celebrated our 7 year anniversary. It's hard to believe that we have been married for 7 years and been together for over 10 years. We have had many memorable moments together. I am constantly reminded of how blessed I am to be married to such an amazing man. Guy has ALWAYS taken care of me and I can't imagine my life without him in it.

Week 3

Tonight at 10:53 pm Greysen will be 3 weeks old, I can't believe how fast time goes by and I'm trying to capture every minute of it. We have settled into life at home, last week was my first to be alone with Greysen, I didn't get much done around the house, but I'm enjoying every minute of being with him.

His little personality is coming out.

Guy thought he was being funny by putting his hat on like this.

First Week and Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We have had an amazing first week (plus a few days) at home. It's hard to believe that Greysen will be two week old on Monday, which was his actual due date. He had a touch of jaundice so we have been to the pediatrician a few times. His weight dropped to 6.6 from 7.7, but he is now eating well and gaining weight. We go back to the pediatrician on Tuesday for his two week check up.

We have be SO fortunate to have family in and out to help with the baby. Both of our families were able to be here for Greysen's first Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for!!!

We are in the hospital, waiting for my doctor to get here to perform a C-Section tonight! Greysen should be here in the next few hours. Please keep up in your prayers. We will post pictures soon!

I am officially on bedrest and leave from work, but we did sneak out of the house Saturday night to see some of our friends. Thanks to James and Lisa for having us over to see their new house, it is really nice.

Sheila along with my wonderful hostesses, threw me a beautiful shower. It was perfect, I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends.

Camping

The first two picture are obviously not camping, but the rest are. We went camping in Sommerville with some friends, Andy and Stephanie. The weather was wonderful, we had our own trail down to the water from our campsite. It was a perfect relaxing weekend, I'm thankful that I still feel well enough to stay active.

Here is the baby's room and bedding, we are so excited! Still waiting on furniture hopefully it will be here soon.

I am at 31 weeks, my blood pressure is a little high. I was admitted to the hospital for a few hours today and bedrest might be in the near future, but I feel great and will keep going until I hear otherwise!

Andy cooked us a wonderful beef stew the first night. We were all off for Fort Bend County Fair Day so we celebrated by going camping.

We spent our evenings by the lake as the sun set and the weather became cooler, very relaxing.

We loaded Edge into a canoe and headed for a bit of an adventure.

When we arrived at the canoes these geese came running out of the water and directly towards us, not sure what they were thinking.

We arrived at the canoes to find them locked up, hmm?

The flies were a bit annoying, but a least they didn't bite.

Fun, but stressful. Every time Edge moved the canoe tilted rather dangerously.

IKE

We survived our first hurricane that actually landed where it was projected to land, which we happen to be in the way of. It was a pretty scary experience and needless to say we didn't get much sleep Friday night. We are very blessed to have no damage to our house, just a few planks from the fence came off, but more importantly we are safe and dry. We lost power Friday night around 6:00 pm and got it back today around 3:30 pm. It has been a great chance to get to know our neighbors and spend some time unplugged from the world. Here are some pictures form our IKE experience.

Summer has come to an end...

We went to Austin to visit Margaret, Mara and Larry (the dog). We spent Friday night at Mara's new apartment and then met up with Margaret and Larry at a dog park called The Island. The dog park was awesome, it was on Lake Austin and full of trails. The dogs had a great time, then we took them to Dirty Dog to get baths.

Edge and I have enjoyed our time together, since I finished my summer schools courses we took advantaged and relaxed. Of course this is what he does everyday, but for me it was a treat.

My parents were kind enough to travel down to help my paint the baby's room. We got it all done in one day. My dad was great about getting all the high parts and did all the touch ups. It came out just as I had imagined it would. Guy will put the chair rail up and then all we will need is the furniture, which has been ordered. I knew if I didn't get it done before I went back to school the baby might have had white walls!!

Guy and I traveled to Abilene to visit my roommates and my family. We had a great time, Bicky and Lance cooked us a wonderful breakfast, we met up for dinner at the Bee Hive and played a bit of Rock Band. It was wonderful to see my dear

friends.

Recently I was in Ohio visiting my grandparents. My mom cleared out a bunch of stuff and we attempted to have a garage sale, although it rained the day of and we ended up taking a lot of it to Goodwill. The weather was perfect not too hot and cool enough to have the windows open at night. My Aunt Karla also came for a few days and we had a great time with her as well.

This is my Uncle Barry, Aunt Sheila and cousins Amanda and Aaron. Amanda was also in town she lives in Colorado and does a lot of photography.

This is one of the two truckloads that we took to Goodwill, it was a long day.

This is Guy in his server room, he is extremely proud of his color coded wires. It is very neat especially when you look at the server room next to his, it looks awful.

21 weeks

I had a doctor's appointment this morning (I go every 4 weeks), they checked my blood pressure-which was good, my weight-I've gained 8 lbs. like you care. Then Guy met me at the hospital for my ultrasound. Everything is on track he weighs 12 oz and is extremely active. I have been able to feel him a lot more lately, he seems to never stop.

The Pregos

I recently had the opportunity to spend some time with some of my good friends at Katie's ranch. We celebrated baby Payton's arrival and just hung out together talking and relaxing. Whitney, Coley and Libby drove in from Dallas, it was so great to see them.

I'm headed to Ohio to see my grandparents, I will have pictures to post when I get back.

This this is our little boy, the bottom picture the baby is looking up at us.

Turns out Guy's 94% prediction was accurate after all.

We had another ultrasound today because one of my blood test came back with abnormal results so they wanted to get a closer look at the baby. We were a little nervous about today, but we came away with great news. The baby looks just as he should, I go back in four weeks for another ultrasound to get a closer look at the heart and he will have grown even more. We praise God for the good news and rest in peace knowing he's in control of our baby, and he knows what he's doing!

16 Weeks

This was the baby at six weeks, and here it is at 16 weeks.

The top one is facing this way the bottom one has his/her back to us. They aren't exactly clear but you get the picture.

We had our 16 week appointment today, everything is looking good. The baby refused to uncross his or her legs so the doctor wasn't able to tell what the sex may be. He tried pushing on it to try to get it to move around but no luck. I will have my 20 week ultrasound in 4 weeks, so hopefully the baby will cooperate. My blood pressure was a little high so I go back in two weeks check to have that checked out, it's usually a little higher when I'm at the doctor's office. I probably need to take it a bit easy.

I am a bit surprised that I have had three ultrasounds in the last 16 weeks. Although it has been fun to watch the baby grow and change. We are still amazed that everything is going well. Other than having a hard time sleeping a some stretching pains I feel really good.

It's been awhile...

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, I'm still new at this whole thing. We currently don't have a camera since my husband stepped on ours! I promise I will post some "belly" pictures soon. I have my next doctor's appointment on Monday and I'm sure there will be more to share then.

I am taking 12 hours of grad classes and teaching summer school for the month of June, so I will be a bit busy until July at least. I am feeling fine and trying to adjust to my clothes getting tighter but not quite ready for maternity wear. We continue to be thankful and blessed that everything seems to be going well this time around.

New addition and No it's not a new Dog!

We are excited to finally announce that we are pregnant! We are due on December 1st. I had my 12 week appointment on Monday and everything looks good. My doctor gave me a "happy" sticker on the way out, and orders not to worry anymore! Please keep us in your prayers as we begin this exciting journey.
