IKE

We survived our first hurricane that actually landed where it was projected to land, which we happen to be in the way of.  It was a pretty scary experience and needless to say we didn't get much sleep Friday night.  We are very blessed to have no damage to our house, just a few planks from the fence came off, but more importantly we are safe and dry.  We lost power Friday night around 6:00 pm and got it back today around 3:30 pm.  It has been a great chance to get to know our neighbors and spend some time unplugged from the world.  Here are some pictures form our IKE experience.

Our neighbors love Edge...this was Friday after we lost power, all the neighbors came out of their houses.
The morning after we drove around the neighborhood.  This is the fence in front of the railroad tracks.

Our only damage, the planks from the fence.  The neighbor's ply wood came over and knock them down.
This was Friday night as we waited for the storm to come.

More damage our town...

These guys are really popular!!

Saturday night after IKE.
Guy and Edge making screens so we could sleep with the windows open.

Our next door neighbor's tree.

Ahh...the railroad fence! I'm so glad y'all finally got power back on and now you can make up for being hot by turning the air down really low! I bet going through the storm was scary, but I'm glad I got to text you thru it all and know that you, Guy and baby boy were all okay. Love you guys!

I am soooo glad y'all are ok. I was up most of the night Fri night watching the weather and worrying about you, Guy and baby Gee. Next time a hurricane comes, just drive up to Austin-I don't know if I can handle being that worried again :) Love you.
